The Minnesota Women's Soccer League, included eight teams such as the University of MN, was started in the mid-70s with help from some of the women in Amazon Soccer shown in this photo. I graduated from Ramsey/Roseville High School in 1970, before Title 9
"The boys needed it" was the excuse to withhold all sports from females, except for cheerleading. The women in this photo made a difference for women to play sports. I was in a tree, photographing, and played as a scrappy full back.
