The Landykes movement started in Minnesota in the early 1970s in Aitkin, with Rising Moon being the first location followed by Mel's Place, then Del Lago. Blue was a friend of the photographer, Meadow Muska (MeadowLark), and was invited to visit Del Lago
Blue, aka Barb Demaesschalck, eventually settled in at Del Lago. Dianna Hunter also wrote about her stay at Del Lago in her book "Wild Mares: My Lesbian Back-to-the-Land-Life."
